Music is one of the few things in life that can be enjoyed and done together by people who don't speak the same language. It brings people together, it sooths trauma and is the thing that kept me personally from going down a very different road. It gave me a way to fit in and to relate to kids I otherwise may not have.
Unfortunately public school programs are being cut and underfunded across the country. We want to change that.
