Childrens books, adults should really read too!
‘Why do I write these books? Because I want the underdogs to know they can win.’
Chuck Hawley had what some might call an 'unconventional childhood'. Born to a young mother, Chuck found himself growing up everywhere from Texas to Japan and many points in between. As a child, Chuck suffered from severe anxiety and would often retreat within himself, inventing characters and stories to ease the pain of those panic attacks. Later in life, Chuck would tell stories to his own children using those same characters. A chance encounter in 2018 with a kitten that had found himself in a sticky situation, gave Chuck sudden worldwide internet fame, and an opportunity to write and publish his stories for a larger audience. Writing from life experience and lessons learned along that unconventional upbringing, Chuck developed a series of award winning books intended to help children with some of those same feelings Chuck experienced as a child. The Sticky the Kitty book series can now be found in classrooms and therapists offices in over 20 countries, helping children and adults alike with their own sticky situations. In addition to the Sticky series, Chuck has written 3 other books, all based on empathy, kindness, and self empowerment. One of Chucks favorite things to do when not writing or spending time with his wife Mikee, their 5 children and 7 dogs and cats, is to visit schools and speak to young Sticky fans about Sticky's story, as well as the courage and strength that lives inside of each of them.
